Film screening for "Heavy," a film depicting a man cleaning up a murder he committed, slowly losing sense of his humanity in the process.

The debut film of Max Rothman, Heavy takes the styles of James Benning, Tsai Ming-Liang, Albert Serra and other modern cinematic masters and challenges and reflects on the slow cinema style, forcing consideration of what it means to allow yourself to adapt to more deliberate, immersive pacing when the morality of what is depicted on screen encourages intervention or disengagement.
